  • Going back to the basics of growing and harvesting our own food.
  • Finding our passions within life and bringing them into our teaching philosophy.
  • We could feel the passion from the teachers at Homma and reflected on the importance of acting and teaching through these aspects of our lives.
  • Our passions will drive our practice.

(January 11, 2022) The school provided lots of sensory experiences for the students including fine motor skill tasks, gross motor activities, mud kitchen etc. Made more connections to our coursework including land-based learning. Showed us how everyone connects to land differently, e.g. some children engaged in risky play, some engaged with animals. Showed how fluid learning outside can be, it is not strict. Children connected to the land but also with each other.
